I compose each painting in photoshop, create a digital print on canvas, then apply acrylic paint, and mixed media; resin finishes the piece creating a high gloss effect. I am continuously looking for new media to incorporate in the paintings. Currently, I use beads, quartz spheres, gold/silver leaf, and stones with the paint and resin.

 

I view the fashion industry as both beautiful and corrupt; this idea inspires my current work. I often interpret rust in my backgrounds. Aesthetically, the colors of rust are beautiful, but the actuality of rust is that it is decay. People or material things may appear to be beautiful, but there is rot underneath the surface. I often use symbols of both good an evil in my work because that is the way of the world. We experience many wonderful and beautiful things, but there is also corruption and evil.
